The Howling Crypts : Normal is the regular dungeon map, where teams of 1-3 players compete for loot and the chance to escape. The loot is better than the first level of Howling Crypts on Normal difficulty, but it's easier for other players to spot you and move towards you, so it's recommended you play with a full team and choose a more mobile class. The Ruins of Forgotten Castle is an outdoor map where there is no 2nd level, only escape portals. The enemy mobs are significantly more challenging than in the Howling Crypts. Bows no longer have unlimited arrows they are a finite resource. New perks, skills, monsters, weapons, and items. This was intitially released as Floor 0 of the standard map where players would spawn upon entering, but has since been changed to a single layer dungeon for the purposes of playtesting. New 'The Ruins of Forgotten Castle' Dungeon, an outdoor area with new mobs.
